CS OR 2017 Wine Advocate 95

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch Vineyard is blended of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot aged 22 months in 100% new French Taransaud, Sylvain and Darnajou barrels. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it bursts from the glass with exuberant blueberry compote, crème de cassis and plum preserves scents with hints of wild thyme, cigar box and dusty soil with a waft of iron ore. Full-bodied, the palate has a great core of generous black fruit preserves, framed by firm, grainy tannins, finishing long and savory.
