The 2016 Morisoli Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is an absolutely fantastic showing from Amici in this vintage. As this sensational Cabernet unwinds in the glass it begins to slowly release seductive and complex aromatics of ripe dark berries and cassis, which come together with pencil shavings, peppery spices, chocolate, violets and wild herbs all taking shape. On the palate this is full-bodied and beautifully structured, with big, yet nicely polished tannins which frame the ripe core of dark fruits, spring florals and spice flavors that resonate throughout. Displaying remarkable depth and concentration, this stunning Cabernet goes on to thoroughly impress as it comes to an end with an incredible long, supple finish that envelops the palate and lingers on effortlessly. While this is nothing short of spectacular today, the Morisoli Cabernet will also absolutely thrive in the cellar as it evolves gracefully for many years to come.
