The 2021 Charles Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay needs a little coaxing to bring out notes of lemon curd, ripe grapefruit, and orange blossom, giving way to hints of struck flint and sea spray. The medium-bodied palate is lively and intense, with loads of mineral-sparked citrus layers and a long steely finish.
